【My Apology and A Message from the Vajra Guru】

Image
This post is to offer my sincere apologies to my Guru - Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, and all his global sangha, due to the video link I posted a few days ago on my timeline. The video link pertains to the allegations of sexual abuse made by two ladies towards Karmapa Ugyen Thinley Dorje - the principal actors in this unfolding scandal. I regret the fact that one of them has dragged the name of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in this issue and by sharing the video, I have abetted them. The truth is subjective and conditioned by limitations of karma, perceptions, and interpretation. In this degenerate era when people jump to the worst conclusions rather than have a nuanced view of events, my actions may have resulted in more harm than its intended good, for which I express my regret, remorse, and hopefully, this will redeem my unskillful actions. Below is a letter Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche has sent me when I expressed my apologies to him. It is a measure of Rinpoche's compassion for every...

Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche teachings on All-Otr.org January 27, 2019 ·    Rinpoche wanted this to be passed on from recent events:   “There is something I want to say. Please record it, write it down in all the languages, and put it up on the internet. Pass it on.   At the beginning of this drupchen here in Bodhgaya, I made one point clear to you: that Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche is surrounded by many female students and attendants from all over the world. They call themselves his students and some give themselves other lofty titles which, I said, could become the source of big problems. I asked the practitioners taking part in this Tukdrup Barche Kunsel drupchen to direct their practice to avert that kind of obstacle, because if it were to arise, it would harm the Dharma. But we can see now that the obstacle has not been cleared.   On 24 January 2019, a Taiwanese woman called Jane, who claims to be a student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, started to spread s...

Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche Responds to False Report by Mirror Weekly

Image
Today, I would like to address the monasteries, Buddhist institutes, and retreat centers located in Tibet and abroad, as well as the faithful followers of the First and Second Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoches—especially those who are connected with me personally, either in worldly matters or through the Dharma. Some of you may already be aware of a recent incident. A woman from Taiwan has claimed: “He sent me to the Karmapa to use my beauty to seduce him.” This was reported in a weekly publication in Taiwan. This woman has been coming to see me for several years. She is one among many different types of followers who come here. She is neither a particularly close student nor someone working under my direct guidance. A few years ago, she asked me, “Can I go to pay respects to the Karmapa?” I said, “Of course you can.” This does not only apply to the Karmapa—whenever someone tells me they wish to go and visit other Khenpos or spiritual teachers, I naturally do not stop them. On the contrary, ...
