Vikki Hui Xin Han vs. Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD)
The primary goal of the Karmapa incidents is to make the Karmapa loses all standing and reputation. In the post-Dalai Lama era, the Karmapa plays a crucial role in identifying the succession of the 14th Dalai Lama. As long as the Karmapa is in disgrace, no one will believe in the Karmapa anymore, and the mastermind can proceed smoothly with naming their puppet Dalai Lama without hindrance.
On April 15, 2021, at the hearing of Vikki Han’s lawsuit, the judge and the lawyers of both parties met via Zoom; on May 17, 2021, the judge officially accepted and tried Han’s case. The judge believed that the two sides needed time to translate the evidence into English, so the judge postponed the trial to July 2022. By law, the judge has accepted and tried the case, and if there is any grievance between the two sides, they can discuss it during the court session. Therefore, the plaintiff and the defendant must stop attacking and harming each other under any circumstances outside the court.
Vikki Han not only did not stop, but she intensified her attacks against the Karmapa. At the end of May 2021, the Han team hired Dr. Ann Olivarius of McAllister Olivarius, a New York law firm, as a well-known lawyer in civil litigation. At the beginning of June 2021, the lawyer's team created an unsightly YouTube video that slandered the Karmapa and then set up a page of "Live Rape Case Study" on their website to slander the Karmapa.
In the first half of 2022, the Han became more aggressive and wanted to sue the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD), the main monastery of Karmapa in the US. Her lawyers have filed a motion in the New York Supreme Court asking for the name list of KTD's board members. Han's team added inflammatory details to the KTD lawsuit case, put into many fake elements, edited it into an article slandering the Karmapa, and then passed the disinformation to a German monk blogger.
The name of the German monk blogger is Tenzin Peljor(Michael Jackel). He told an American journalist, Tenzin Tsagong, that he had been a resident monk at New Kadampa Tradition(NKT), Foundation of the Preservation of Mahayana Teachings(FPMT), and Bodhicharya, but he departed unhappily with those groups. He left one group and went to another, but the result was the same, all the groups he was in ended up kicking him out.『NKT members called him a “Stasi East German wolf in monk‘s robe.” Bodhicharya teacher Ringu Tulku said of Peljor, “He believes in criticizing and saying bad things about almost every lama.” In members’ eyes, he was too much of a troublemaker, more invested in creating drama than following the spiritual path.』-Religion Unplugged by Tenzin Tsagong October 14, 2022
The blogger said he had three trusted friends who saw what happened during the retreat; they claimed they were Han's witnesses. He believed what they said and accused us of being Karmapa's conspiracy. Since May 2021, he has spoken out for the three women and has criticized and slandered the Karmapa. In early July 2022, he not only posted the disinformation on his blog but also deliberately spread it to major social platforms in Europe and America, causing great harm to the Karmapa and KTD.
According to the official historical documents of all previous Karmapas, the people who harmed the Karmapa ended up tragically. The 17th Karmapa: 『We should believe in karmic cause and result by thinking, “One day the result will ripen." 』
- The German monk blogger stated on the blog that a recent accident caused him to suffer from pain all over his body, and he will suffer from this pain for the rest of his life. (It is reported that an ordained monk did harmful deeds, and usually, the retribution comes immediately.)
- In late July 2022, all of Han’s Facebook accounts disappeared.
- On September 14, 2022, Vikki Han took the initiative and voluntarily revoked her lawsuit against KTD.
- Han’s lawyer took down the YouTube video that slandered the Karmapa. https://youtu.be/qNyZ1BK9LU0
- The law firm deleted the web page of “Live Rape Case Study.” https://mcolaw.com/case-studies/karmapa/
